If you do the same, you'd expect to pay about $120 for the 5K you need. The posting rate for prepaid no show reservations is close to 100% for people in that thread. It was exactly 100% for me this year. Since the posting is typically about 5 days after check in date, you have time for three or more attempts before the deadline.
Just as a pointer, consider the "Good Luck Day Hotel" in Phnom Penh, checking in on 1/29 and out on 1/30, then in again on 1/31 and out on 2/1. That'll get you 4940 LPs at 2.3 cents/LP, not including tax. I'm assuming you are in the zone to get the 30% LP bonus for being within 6 months of passing 100K, and I'm not including the 114 LPs for the credit card spend. Of course, YMMV!
Is this new show prepaid reservation apply to all hotels or only some will honor miles with no show?
