I can’t comment on direct experience, but I’d suggest applying a RUC, at least on your red eye return. There is a fair amount of paid D1 on these routes, and they are popular for RUC/GUC given the “bang for the buck”. Since you are already in PS, you won’t lose the cert if the upgrade doesn’t clear.
