You will have 5 nights after your work trip , then just 11 more nights paid with MONEY (not Points) if Bonvoy gives u the Plat Challenge. To keep the Plat , you need 50 nights and those 10 by UK Credit card ofc help.

Thanks for bringing this to my attention! It's tempting but I don't think 11 nights is doable in 90 days. I have holidays booked in February and March already which unfortunately won't be in any Marriott hotels.
