I can see there’s ferries that leave Moorea between 5-6am so in principle it seems possible. But I’m keen to hear what practical / actual experience anyone has of trying to do this without it going horribly wrong!

re and stay at the Tahiti Airport Motel, though I suppose an early ferry would probably do it. The Hilton Moorea is at the opposite end of the island from the ferry, so you'd have to leave quite early.
