Problems with BofA Visa Canada application

Anyone else have problems with the BofA visa application? How is the company to deal with?

For years I have wanted to get the BofA Visa, but being a Canadian, I could not figure out a way to get a BofA Alaska Visa. Anyhow, I was delighted to say the least when I not only got an offer for the card but 10k bonus miles in the mail Christmas eve.

I applied online and had problems with the code, the print was small and the code was Y I 1111 (misread the I for a 1) Spent a while online and learned through the search for promo code that it was YI not Y1. So I went back online and applied. Anyhow I was denied because insufficient funds. I was a little insulted (in 20 years of having credit cards, and having what I thought should be a great credit score) I applied online for the new starwood just to check to see if my credit rating had gone bad, and in about 2 minutes I had a starwood free MasterCard with 5000 bonus starpoints. Ok credit rating not a problem.

About 10 days later, I thought I would give it another shot as the 10K bonus miles was for applications before mid January. I thought I would apply again, this time using the regular link on the AS Visa page. Although not approved instantly they said they would email back with a decision. Got approved today.

I tried my wifes and hers also did not work! So I emailed them and asked if there was someone I could talk to about my application. Bank of America responded and said at this time they have no phone support for credit card applications. Wow does not sound good.

Anyhow, I have about 10 people who I would encourage to get this card, but I don't want to tarnish my reputation if service is going to be this bad. How is there customer service. Is the company BofA Ok to deal with?

Thanks for any help.
