I chose the 85k Free Night Award. I generally plan my travel well in advance, so I am highly likely to be able to get good value out of it, whereas getting an SNA upgrade is hit or miss. I used the card’s regular free night award on a $600+ room last year in a great location in Paris. I was also lucky to get an SNA upgrade to a junior suite with a great view of the Eiffel Tower and the Tuilleries, so it’s hard to say which is really more valuable, but the ability to confirm the FNA at booking makes it much more of a sure savings.
