LHR is closer to us, albeit by a whole 10-15 minutes, and in general airport is nicer but as a lowly Silver the Gatwick lounge is, (since COVID I don’t believe I have been there), SO much nicer. Mostly it was used for our holiday travel with LCA, BDA and FNC in particular but we really liked and preferred the lounge to LHR.

When travelling in First LHR is the place to go and if I was Gold it would also be but being Silver and generally in CE and CW we prefer LGW as the Premium Security is/was generally better than LHR Fast Track and the lounge is where one spends most time at the airport.
