I like LGW and enjoy the F lounge there. If only I could get a glass of LPGS then the F lounge would be perfect.

Strangely I always look at the families and young people heading off on package holidays and smile to myself about how excited I was as a young lad doing the same. Just getting a beer and a window seat at the back of a Monarch Air plane felt like I’d won the lottery of life. I associate LGW with heading off on some of the best holidays I ever had (not because they were flash but because I was with loved ones or mates on some tacky beach in southern Europe).

I live nearer to LHR and swift access to TFW, the CCR and a great seat just about makes up for the stress of business travel and the more intense atmosphere of the airport.
