I hope this isn’t a stupid question. When I first flew from the US to London, almost 40 years ago, it was People’s Express EWR-LGW. Fortunately all of my trans-Atlantic flights since that time have been on real airlines, with the vast majority being on BA and AA. And since that time I have flow in and through LHR dozens and dozens of times, but into and out of LGW only a few times, including this week when I flew on FR LGW-DUB-LGW and found the experience to be just fine.

But it does have he thinking: which of the two airports do BA travelers generally prefer? I recognize that often one won’t have a choice, and for many one airport will be far more convenient than the other, but those things being equal, if you do have the choice, which do you prefer?
