Thanks all. I booked a refundable backup flight on Hawaiian for the following day, which still leaves me one day before my flight to Asia. If I have to take the flight I can upgrade my seat on Hawaiian but not on Southwest. Hawaiian says I can cancel anytime up to the day of the flight.
