I finally got approved today from an application I made on Dec 6th! Almost two months, so definitely not a good start!. I have not seen any promo miles posted yet, which is pretty normal I geuss, but the promo has changed and the one I signed up for was 50k miles, current one is no miles but annual fee is waived! Terms and conditions when I applied said, Apply and get approved by Dec 18th to get the bonus points....Is it really my fault they took almost two months?

Anyone have any experience having BRIM apply the promo we actually applied for and not the current one?

I am not clear on a few things.....

First, right now I have 30XP from before getting card. I am supposed to get 60XP....still 10XP under silver. If I add my wife as a cardholder, do we get another 60XP to our family plan bringing us into SILVER?
Do we have to book the flights with this card, or can I book with another card and still get the REGULAR and ACCELERATED miles? Do these miles post only after we fly and if we become SILVER after booking the tickets but before flying, do we get the higher accelerated miles?
