If so, then yes, you'll be able to check upto 3x 32kg bags. AA will allow you checked bags based on your status without caring what the underlying fare is. I've done done this at least 6 times in the last 2 years, including starting in YUL twice.

On the outbound you will not be able to check any bags at all.
return on AA x 2 and then BA is 125 BA ticket...the return ticket purchased on BA.com as an outbound and inbound on one booking reference.

Makes sense to return with an extra luggage I have in YVR under this scenario. System quirk
