Given cancellation rates and how frequently disruption is occurring I would be booking away from Alaska for any "I absolutely, positively, have to be there and a cancellation/reschedule could be disastrous to my plans" kind of travel.

You can't lose a huge chunk of mainline fleet (with outsize impact on ETOPS since all the MAX9 planes are ETOPS, read "can fly to Hawaii") and expect things to be normal.
