Were you (or for multi-stayers are you generally) happy with the hotel/stay? It was fine.

Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive? Booked the cheapest entry level and was upgraded to a Superior King.

How are the rooms? Clean, no bed bugs.

How is the exec. lounge? NA

What was good and what was bad? Good - The bathroom amenities were good. There were the usual large bottles of Dove branded shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand wash and body lotion. There were also single use packs of bath salts, body oil and bubble bath. I used all three.
Bad - The hotel was a bit of a trek from Gare du Nord. This took me about 20 minutes on the Metro. With HI Gare de l’Est leaving IHG I am looking for a new low cost home in Paris when I’m travelling alone and catching the early Eurostar back to Blighty. I stayed at Mercure last time but need to keep my IHG nights up for the free two lounge pass. I have only booked 28 nights this year so far…..

Value for $ or Priority Club Points? Would you return? I spent €140 plus I see the city tax has gone up from under €3 last year to over €8 for the Olympics.
