* This is a Prem Flex Plus ticket. Any chance of a complimentary upgrade at all or zero chance?
1. You won’t get a better offer at check-in or on board.
2. The cash upgrade cost is normally the same as the fare difference. You might get a ‘special offer’ via email a few days before the flight. This may be cheaper than the fare difference but I have on more than one occasion received such an offer which was significantly more expensive than the fare difference, so beware!
3. The only chance of an operational upgrade is if the cabin for which you have a ticket is oversold. In that case, with a Flex+ ticket you are high on the ‘upgrade list’. Only Platinum members or holders of Flex+ tickets with a higher status than you would be above you. If the cabin is not oversold, there is zero chance as EK does not give away free upgrades.
