Does the MAX have the same constraints?

I wonder if anyone has ever tracked how many flights on 737s each year have to take the WA/AK/OR to CA detour. Is that a significant percentage in the winter that it would motivate AS to keep the HA A321neos and perhaps add to the fleet?
