Just completed a stay here a couple nights ago and it was great. They gave me a corner room, and the bed was propped up against the window just like a Manhattan loft, so I felt at home even though Osaka is more like the Chicago of Japan.
The room was small, but the comfortable bed, amazing shower, samurai-style toilet and empty fridge easily made up for it. No welcome gift on arrival (as per usual), but the breakfast was also pretty solid.
Chef at breakfast is actually from Toronto, and is learning Japanese, so don’t drop any nihongo on him just yet. Full spread of hot and cold items. Their Japanese items, including noodle bar and curry gyudon, were actually much better than the western options, so stick with that.
I would return here.
