Given no one has replied, I will offer a probably less than useful response. Was recently in the public areas of the west tower and amazed at how thoroughly it was updated - no more over the top dark wood assault and 70s decor of the Al Schneider heritage. But I didn’t stay there, so can’t answer your question. Always heard the east tower was suites or at least larger rooms.. Would guess both towers are updated by now but not much they can do to change the pedestrian layout of the west rooms - might be worth the modest up charge to be in the east tower.
