Does anyone know if that is affecting the flights on the 737-800?
There is a lot of anecdotal evidence on this forum that AS has been pulling non 737 MAX 9s and putting them on flights where the MAX 9s were scheduled to operate on. We just had a PSP - PDX flight that was non-MAX 9 get shifted to the MAX 9 and then cancelled.

If it is financially viable for you to do so, I would book a backup flight especially since you are heading further afield than just HNL.
