Lindner Düsseldorf Seestern (JdV)REVIEW MASTER THREAD
Hello,
wanted to open a separate thread for this very promising property.
I'm currently at the property. As a Cat1 and pricing around 120€/night, I gave it a chance versus my regular Regency Düsseldorf stays.
The hotel reviews are very mixed, the pictures show an already aged property.
In reality, this is partly true. The bigger part of the hotel, including the entry experience, is old, looking like 30 years old rooms and overall bad appearance at least. It is more like a 3 star in most areas.
However, I got a globalist upgrade to the (currently only) junior suite, which is really great. Actually, the whole 18th and 19th floor have been renovated around 3 years ago. The standard in these two levels is top-notch 5-star ready. This part of the hotel surpasses every other Hyatt property in Germany, maybe on par with Andaz Munich.
I can fully recommend room categories called "Premium" as well as all suites, as they arw all located 18th & 19th..
Breakfast room is poorly old fashioned, however food quality is pretty OK and selection is wide, with live cooking station.
The skybar "Otto's" is also great, good small bistro menu, nice people, generally good atmosphere and pretty packed every evening.
As the building is also home to the owner architecture bureau of Lindner Architects, I'm pretty sure, that they are working on bringing renovation in this property forward. This will be a truly great hotel again, once fully renovated over the next years. Also, owner is the same as 7Pines Ibiza & Sardinia as well as Schloss Roxburghe.
Looking forward to future stays here!
