Yes the lounge there is absolutely tiny, I was surprised when I saw it. I can't imagine how they expect that to cater breakfast.
Thanks for reminding me of the welcome gifts. I was surprised to be offered breakfast in the restaurant last time I was there. I have never had a stay there post correctly and it has always seemed a somewhat chaotic and disorganised hotel to me (perhaps due to so many irrops and conference guests). But the runway views are fun, and the pub mentioned along the road isn't bad to escape the crowds.
I generally stay at the T4 hotels at LHR now though. No Bonvoy over there but easy to get to and from.
