Any chance this was just an isolated ill informed member of staff? The breakfast is pretty decent downstairs and I agree with the other comments the lounge isn’t big enough to cater for breakfast.

Currently flying SIN-LHR and it's too late to change my reservation. Seeing this thread pop up and then all the negative comments -- which only seem to get worse and worse -- is quite depressing. Sounds like this property is operated like a lower end domestic US property. A good reminder to do research before blindly booking a hotel or thinking brand standards and market competition provide any assurance as to quality within the Marriott Bonvoy family anymore.

Can you provide an update if you encounter the same issue or not?
I have had some good stays here and had one planned for next month but will also cancel if this is the case.
I guess the priority of this hotel is handling pax from cancelled flights rather than status members.
