I can agree with the core message, perhaps not with some choice of words.
However, just for the record as I have actually recently bought one for my daughter, a “renewed” iPhone SE 2nd gen, 128GB in excellent condition is more likely to set you back £150, not £50, but it is indeed excellent value for money IMHO.
I would only buy a second hand iPhone through a scheme that actually offer some sort of warranty (like Amazon renewed) as there are often hidden defects in second hands phones (e.g. water damage can affect only a small part of the screen, it will look normal but the touch screen will not work in that particular area).
