I have just gotten off the phone with Alaska concerning a couple flights I had on a MAX9. The flights are family vacation flights where we all sit together. Mama must have it that way. The Alaska flights were a party of two booked with the companion fare and the a party of one, because that is the way it works with Alaska. As part of my new flights, they booked me on United. On one of the flights, there aren't three seats side by side by side except in the "pay" section. If I'm going to pay, I'm tempted to just do the subscription and hope to use it in the future.
I've had the E+ subscription before with companions and realize it is for companions on the same itinerary. But, has anyone ever had success with a companion on a different itinerary with the same last name, same travel dates, same, same, same, etc?
