Overall, when its available, I find the BA wifi to be more than decent. I also fly with Emirates and Qatar, and their wifi is appalling (and expensive).
Oh, and BA has the worst IFE of any airline I fly with. If I have wifi I can do without it, but it is frustrating on a long BA flight with no wifi to be stuck with the appalling BA IFE!
Perhaps dependent on which bird you fly on but Qatar’s super WiFi is 10USD full flight with no restrictions and great speed I’ve always found.
