my personal take is definitely the CP, especially now they have a small but lovely exec lounge.
The VOCO as mentioned above looks great but its not very functional e.g. the desks and many of the fixtures are cheap.
Also, they have TERRIBLE pillows if you care about this kind of thing, no feather/down pillows even on request.

The rooftop bar also attracts a pretty cheesy crowd and its not managed by the hotel so you cant use vouchers there etc.

And for me the kicker is the cheap motel style 10am checkout.

For me its typical of the terribly low bar so many NZ hotels set for themselves, which they then frequently fail to achieve (I was in a supposedly four star hotel in the South Island [not IHG] a few weeks ago, they had a bath in the bathroom, but a sign said there was limited hot water and not enough to fill the bath!!!)
