Well I would have happily taken my chances if the flight would have taken off.
I ended up booking 3 alternative flights - 2 of which were cancelled so ended up being 4th time lucky. Not expecting any compensation for the delays as clearly that was out of the airlines control but I do expect them to cover duty of care (which includes me getting to the destination as early as possible...)
We have legislation for a reason...
