Once approved, you will receive your credit card number almost instantly. (IF your credit qualifies you for instant approval). Your new Explorer card information should automatically be linked to your UA account and can be used right away to purchase United tickets. To verify it, log in to UA and go to "wallet". You should see the new card there. Just in case it is not, you can click on "add card" and add it yourself.
