Plasterboard covering hall from reception to lifts. They have done well to minimise the reduced appearance with fresh white paint , string lights on the ceiling and paintings on the plasterboard walls
1 lift out of order
Lift for fitness centre behind construction walls
Sign for executive lounge leads to the breakfast area rear entrance
scaffolding outside on North Bridge Street for floors 1 & 2
however room is good and breakfast in the Marco Pierre white restaurant is good if nothing special. Coffee available from staff ( did not see a coffee machine in the restaurant)
Reception said that the lounge location may keep changing during renovations
North Bridge street is still with renovation works
Steps beside the scotsman hotel to Market street and Waverley station open (100 so steps so may be awkward with luggage)
footpath down north bridge street on western side closed. Eastern side footpath open
