The staff were friendly and efficient. The Mira is a Design Hotel and the overall aesthetic is similar to the W with the "dark and sexy" thing going on. Although Design Hotels do not have to offer breakfast to Elites, this one does although they did state that lounge access was a no go. More on breakfast later. Elites get a small box of chocolates upon check-in from the dessert restaurant called Coco also located in the hotel.
The hallways have a neat optical illusion as the actual ceilings are quite low but they have installed mirrors on all the ceilings to hide this. I was upgraded to a Courtyard View room on the highest floor. The hotel is in a very busy neighbourhood but I had zero street noise as I faced inwards. My room was very nice overall but there are definite signs of wear and tear.on the furnishings. I think it's been awhile since they've had a refurbish and it might be time for one fairly soon. Still, it wasn't a dealbreaker for me. The sink and vanity are near the entryway and are separate from the actual bathroom which had a separate bathtub and shower. The bathroom has a glass wall overlooking the bed with a privacy shade although my shade's motor was not working and was in the permanent shades down and closed position. I didn't bother mentioning this to the staff as I wasn't showering during the day and needing a view. The bed was perfectly fine. The TV didn't have any smart capabilities so you're stuck with the regular channels that it offers. A few were in English. I didn't watch much TV while I was here anyway.
The breakfast buffet spread was very big with live egg and noodle stations. Plenty of seating and efficient service. The cost is quite high (around 240 HKD), so getting it complimentary was a very nice touch. There is a Japanese supermarket in the basement level called Don Don Donki that is open 24/7, so you can get snacks or full blown hot meals there if you want at reasonable prices. Kowloon Park is right across the street and there are MRT stations just a few minutes walk away. The Mira is in the heart of Kowloon so there are tons of restaurants nearby. It is connected to a mall, called Mira Place, as well. The hotel's clientele seems to be mostly of the "see and be seen" type with lots of young people wearing conspicuous labels. As I spent all day sightseeing, I didn't get a chance to check out the indoor pool or the various dining/drinking establishments in the hotel other than breakfast. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay here and would stay here again, but the rooms could use a refresh. I prefer Kowloon to Central as I find the latter to be a touch too Westernized and sanitized and am not a huge fan walking up all those hills lol.

I am staying here for three nights in February. Is there a lounge? I am Titanium Elite, any idea of I will get access to it?
