Marriott is an industry leader. Wyndham has many properties, yeah, but doesn't even play in the majors when it comes to loyalty.
People will use Marriott partners just because they're Marriott partners (where you can earn some points and/or elite night credit). That's the reality with the biggest names in loyalty like Delta, United, or Marriott. This WILL generate incremental bookings for MGM.
