We actually were not interested in Skycouch, preferring Elite $AP to PE. But was just browsing around from curiosity to see how the system worked.
It's an interesting one and the information is actually searchable on the air nz agents website (where you can get fare rules etc.). https://www.airnzagent.co.nz/economy...-and-blackouts

If we look specifically at the AKL-SIN sector
- there are specific blackout dates for skycouch for 1 (SC1) and skycouch for 2 (SC2) - (AKL-SIN: 12-28 Dec 2023, 1-12 Jan 2024 | SIN-AKL: 10-23 Dec 2023, 15-29 Jan 2024)
- there is also an H class exclusion period as well - (AKL-SIN: 11 Dec 2023 - 14 Jan 2024 | SIN-AKL: 11 Dec 2023 - 31 Jan 2024)
- also, you can only ever get skycouch for 3, if you are Y, B and M booking classes (incidentally the top 3 of global flexi)

I do wonder how much of this is related to maximising revenue in the sense that if you're buying flexi, there may already be less seats available? who knows

What is even more amusing is that the cheaper your base fare, the cheaper the skycouch upgrade.
For example, the SC1 (skycouch for 1) price to singapore is 1100 NZD if you are in (L, S, G, K, P), but increases as you go through the most expensive classes up to 1760 NZD for H class supplement

Going back to Thai-Kiwi , unless it's in the blackout period, the guidelines seem to suggest with YBMH (e.g. global flexi), it's a $200 supplement for a skycouch for 3, but you'd have to sit together and use the 1 skycouch between 3 adults I assume?
