Yes they flew up to at least Sep 2001 as I was on a flight from Havana to Gatwick on September 10th 2001 after a 2 week BA holiday in Havana and Varadero. Obviously I was extremely lucky to fly that day and not the day after for obvious reasons.

This Guardian article suggests the service stopped soon after.
