My wife's family is in Guangzhou and we're planning to visit from London. I'm a BA Silver Member (Oneworld Sapphire) and sitting on a few thousands miles, so we thought of looking into Qatar Airways to do LHR - CAN with a Doha stopover (looking to spend a couple of nights in a stopover hotel on the way there).

However it seems the Qatar Airways website is not particularly good? I've created a Privilege Club account and linked my Avios - they correctly show on the website. However...

- If I try to search using their stopover journey, no matter what flights / hotels I choose, when I click "Book" I always get an error message saying "The fare is not available".
- If I try to book a Multi-city trip LHR - DOH - CAN - LHR (doing it this way so I can control how many nights I can spend in DOH), I can book the flights but there's no option to partly pay with Avios.

Anybody experienced similar issues and has some suggestions? I understand I can actually book flights and hotels separately (the Discover Qatar website has a selection of Stopover Hotels) but it would be convenient to book under one package and using Avios.
