"In just a few weeks, one terminal at Dallas-Fort Worth International will be much quieter. Delta will be down to just 21 flights from more than 250, costing North Texas 7,000 jobs and DFW more than $50 million a year.
To get a new airline there, DFW is willing to let another carrier have Delta's former gates rent-free for a year. The airport will even pay for ground equipment, terminal improvements and marketing. The package of incentives is worth up to $22 million."
