You think if AS takes over those routes they won't cut their losses and move on if they are losing money hand over fist on those routes? It is pretty clear, AS will need to replace the 717 fleet very quickly after they take over if they are successful and you know what that means for AS's management--737 Maxes. Not the ideal plane for the inter island routes and much more expensive to buy new planes to operate low yielding flights.
