I stayed at Le Meridien over the summer and it is a nice hotel in a central location on La Rambla. I would recommend it. I contemplated the W but glad we didn’t stay there. We walked to it to see it - it is far from the city’s attractions except the beach, and as a Florida resident, our visit to Barcelona was not about the beach but instead the major sights in the city. Even the lunch menu at the W was unappealing to us.
