I was on my way to the airport IAD when I got text message from United that my flight to Rochester was cancelled and they rebooked me for next morning. I couldn't do that since I had meeting that morning at 8am and the flight would put me around 11am at ROC. I called the 1K line and asked to be put on any other flight leaving from IAD or DCA that would get me in ROC that evening. The rep put me on American Eagle flight out of DCA. I left my car at IAD and took Uber to DCA so my return leg would stay as it was on United. The only thing that got me upset was that I had to pay for my baggage when I checked in at AA counter at DCA. I was booked in business class with United but the flight with AA was in economy. I was still glad to make that flight and be able to attend the meetings.
