Is there a thread on how to book free stopovers on line?

Is a mixed cabin on partner available as a free stopover?

I want to go LAX-SCL-EZE with a stopover in SCL.

The full route is available as a connection in several days in J. LAX-SCL is available in J on those days. SCL-EZE is only available in Y. Can this be booked as a stopover with mixed cabin? It says no availability when I use Multicity award (for either leg)
