Champagne is (a lot) extra. They push it pretty hard, and it does serve a purpose to catch people who are not part of the first seating while waiting for a spot.

My reso is at 5:30, what time is the first seating? Is it awkward to pass on the champagne? Where would you wait if you don't partake
