Not out of spite but maybe out of policy. The guest is no longer staying at the HP, who knows where the guest is staying, if in Kyoto at all. Easiest is for the hotel to just cancel the restaurant reservation as SOP. I would tell the HP I've moved to the HR, and hence still in Kyoto (and within the Hyatt "family") so please don't cancel the restaurant reservation. That should probably do the trick.
