Nope. You will need to recheck your luggage. (but they usually do it, but it just depend on agent in LHR. But not 100%.)

Not sure, why you are explictily mentioning that you dont have a Schengen visa - as an UK passpord holder, you dont need a visa at all, however, if you are holder of other passport, not eligible for visaless entry into schengen, you could not be allowed to travel at all.
