Sorry if this has been covered already, but.... I will ask anyways.

Does gift cards use (as form of payment) void the eligibility of purchase made through the AA Shopping Portal, or are there exceptions with "selected" vendors....?

I was hoping to be able to use Home Depot and Amazon Gift Cards to make purchases through AA Shopping but I guess its all a Pipe-dream....??

Please note: Im not looking to get AA shopping miles/lps from the actual purchase of the gift cards, but rather use them as forms of payment only.... so I would be buying the actual gift cards in a separate transaction but then using the gift cards as form of payment for the purchases of the goods/products - looking to get the usual miles/lp benefits just like for purchases I would make and use my credit card as form of payment.
