There doesn't seem any way to cancel.. if I go back in and set things to zero, I just get an error.
Not sure why they removed the verbiage on the preorder screen about 1Ks not being charged, unless it's thinking I'm not a 1K anymore for some reason (I just got my welcome email for 2024 two days ago..)
I saw the same thing a few weeks ago for a domestic Y flight - I clicked through to the point it got to the checkout and when it prompted me to select a credit card I stopped. Once on board it was no problem, so it's either a bug or a terrible UX decision.
