Hi! In cases of a mechanical failure at your first destination causing issues. Have you 1Ks been denied booking on airlines outside star alliance? Recently had an issue where my first flight “broke down” and in waiting for our rescue plane, missed all my connections to Europe. 1K desk and supervisors refused to put me on equivalent AA/Delta flights that would have fixed their mess. Instead, they routed me into a snowstorm in Frankfurt, standing me for a day, missing yet another day of client meetings. The second woman I spoke to at the 1k desk was beyond confused.

Putting to you all…why was I refused rebooking on carriers that would have got me to my meetings on time? United did it for my other colleagues who are status levels below 1k. What did I do wrong? Do I need to say bye to United?
