Changing Amtrak award trip to same priced trip - "not enough points"?
Looking to change a trip I have at the end of February to one in early February. The price in points (if booking as if a new res) is the exact same amount as the old one. It looks like free changes, even for saver fares per the waiver on their site. When I log in, go to change the trip, and try to select that new train that is the same price, it says I don't have enough points. I admitedly don't have enough points to book the ticket as if it was new, only about 30% of the point count. Is there something I'm missing or that I have to do different?
