Agreed, I really don't get the complaining about this benefit, it's a piece of cake for us to use. I think people have a negative connotation about Dell and are only thinking Dell products. There are literally countless things on there. We needed a new ecobee smart home thermostat last fall and I first looked at Amazon, which had it on a killer deal sale. On a lark I checked Dell, assuming they wouldn't be matching the Amazon price, but sure enough they literally had matched Amazon's exact sale price, so bought with the business platinum credit. They have tons of smart home stuff (i.e. Philips Hue products, etc.). Most of the time, as you say, its very competitively priced. Occasionally it might be a bit higher, but even in this case, when you are starting with a $200 credit, it still beats buying at the "cheaper" site.
I realize that people here try to do "unnatural" things (i.e. playing games with xbox credits, etc.) and they get their orders cancelled, etc, but if you are a "normal" customer I just don't see the problem. We've been using this credit for literally years, across multiple cards and never had a problem (i.e. no canceled orders, etc.).
My wife's monitor is starting to go on the fritz, so with two Biz Platinum cards it will pretty much cover a replacement for this first half of the years credits.
