Sorry for barrage of questions! I am a bit nervous and possibly overthinking this.
I sat in the middle seats with the child and it was pretty straightforward to help out at meals. Unless things have changed, the child meal should be some form of cheesy tomato sauce pasta and my son liked it.
Line of sight isn’t ideal for either the aisle seat or the middle seat if you are sitting against the back rest but if you lean forward it was ok. My wife had our infant so the 2.5 yr old was my responsibility. Can’t say if the aisle has a better line of sight but I think it was the same for both seats.
takeoff was fine. Purser was great and brought him a snack, candy, and let him use the swing out TV to have something playing. He sat with me on landing because he was crying. Again, crew was great and didn’t make him sit in his own seat.
Take this with a grain of salt as my child is now over 3 and I think the flight would go completely different now. Every child is different but he is light years more independent now than he was then.
