It is very possible with a TP run routing that any rerouting will cut out several stops, for example you might be offered ARN-LHR-LAX which would be considerably less hassle, would have been more expensive to book and earned you less TPs, but with ORC you get what you booked not what you flew.
If you can't handle the hassle of chasing things, or for some reason want to visit all the intermediate lounges, then consider re-arranging in advance
Even if you do re-arrange, there's a fair chance things go 'technical' somewhere on a TP run anyway.
Got it, that's a great point actually - would much rather cut out stops whilst earning the same TPs!
It sounds like Finnair will be notifying customers of cancellations imminently. With regards to going down the ORC route, should I just ignore whatever's offered/changed and just turn up at the airport on the day?
I'm not up to speed on the OCR rules and what may count as a voluntary/involuntary change..
