A couple of days ago, I had a successful BRG claim. Now my plans changed and I no longer need the reservation. However, a friend of mine would like to take over the reservation as the rate is really good. I managed to change the name on the reservation online. The reservation now shows my friend’s name and the rate is still BRG. I am aware that I won’t be able to get any points or nights as I am not going to check in. However, I am wondering whether there might be any problems as I changed the name on a BRG reservation. The hotel not accepting the BRG due to the name change?
